Year 5 welcomed visitors from the Woodstock churches to lead preparations for World Day of Prayer, which will take place on March 4. The origins of World Day of Prayer date back to the 19th century when Christian women in the USA and Canada initiated a variety of cooperative activities in support of women’s involvement in mission, at home and abroad. This year's theme links to the biblical quote, ‘I know the plans I have for you.’ (Jeremiah). Children were encouraged to think about those people living on the margins of society and in challenging situations.
