The children in Years 3&4 have begun their weekly music sessions with the Oxfordshire Music Service learning the ukuleles.  The children have thoroughly enjoyed their specialist sessions. 

What is a ukulele?

The ukulele is a four stringed instrument which looks more or less like a miniature classical guitar. Although it is today associated with Hawaii, the ukulele has its roots in Portugal, and indeed it was Portuguese immigrants who brought small ukulele-esque instruments over to Hawaii.
