Children's Mental Health & Wellbeing Week
We have been continuing our whole-school work on promoting mental health & wellbeing this week. Not only have children been learning about the importance of a good sleep routines, daily exercise, a good diet and the impact of too much screen time and gaming can have on how we feel.
Key Stage 2 classes across the school took part in yoga sessions and in KS1/EYFS the children focused on activities within the Forest School that promoted positive mental health and wellbeing.
Children have also been finding out about various strategies that can be used to help overcome different feelings and emotions; some of which have included breathing exercises, moments of stillness and meditation.
