Parental Partnership Award (LPPA)

Statement of Intent

Working in Partnership with our Parents

At Woodstock CE Primary School, we aim to develop close relationships with parents, so we can work collaboratively to support the educational progress and wellbeing of our pupils.  In recognition of the work we do to develop positive parent partnerships were delighted to be accredited with the Leading Parent Partnership Award in May 2020 following an extremely rigorous assessment process.

'Partnership with parents and the community is a constant in all information including the curriculum policy which states that ‘the school aims to work in collaboration with families and the community.’  Woodstock is a model of excellent parent and community partnership practice.'

LPPA Accreditation Verification Report (May 2020)

We know that parents’ interest and involvement in their child’s learning is associated with securing a positive experience and outcomes that reflect their child reaching their full potential. We believe parents are a key influence in their child’s life and that education is a collaborative enterprise involving parents, school and children. Strong partnerships with parents are pivotal to our school life, and we are committed to establishing and maintaining an effective and purposeful working relationship between home and school.

Our Parent Partnership Policy (available below) provides a clear framework for how our school communicates with parents, including the ways in which parents can ensure they are fully involved in every aspect of the school community.
